I hold a degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Florence and a PMD from Harvard Business School.
Having initially worked for Banca Monte dei Paschi, I subsequently spent 26 fantastic years with Citibank, moving from Treasurer of Citibank in Italy to Head of Citibank trading floors in London for seven years. After 2 years as General Manager for France I moved to New York to manage all North America Trading Rooms.
Following the merger between Treasury and Investment Banking operations I was put in charge of both functions and became also CEO of Citicorp Investment Bank in London.
In 80s Citibank London and New York were the first trading floors in the world to launch products like swaps and options that have now become common derivatives.
In 1989 I left Citibank and took the responsibility of reorganizing the Finance Area of BNL in Rome.
In 1990 I established Redi & Partners Ltd in London, a financial service company regulated and authorized by FSA for which I am the Chairman. I continued performing several consultancy assignments like the reorganization of Central Management of Cassa di Risparmio of Florence, the Finance Area of Banca Popolare di Verona and of the Cassa di Risparmio di Parma e Piacenza up to their acquisition by Banca Intesa.
In the 90s Redi & Partners was also a pioneer in arranging and placing substantial structured bond issues for major financial institutions.
When the market of these products became saturated by the major Investment Banks, Redi & Partners created an international and experienced team totally dedicated on advising other financial institutions, collective form of investment, family offices on the selection of hedge funds.
Today Redi & Partners is the exclusive investment advisor to 4 multi strategy funds of hedge funds managed by Société Générale and of a new Emerging Market fund of fund managed by JPMorgan and administered by BNP Paribas.
In 2006 the performance of the 4 FoFs of Société Générale advised by Redi & Partners was the highest among all the 170 internal and external investment advisors of that group.
