What I'm doing

Citi acquired us (Quotron) when we had a 79% market share, and in six years grew us to 22%. I managed 6 small departments, most of them in the same city I was stationed in. Citi sold us to Reuters where I started a usability business. From there I went to CIBC Oppenheimer.

CIBC sold Oppenheimer to Fahnestock, which explains a lot of the craziness that we had seen there over the last few months, including major "restructuring."

I've taken a two day a week assignment with our largest broker (ranked #4 of all brokers in all firms in the US), and by the time we're through with the projects he should be positioned to double his business in the next year.

But I need to find something full-time. I suspect that since it takes forever to learn the securities industry that I should focus my efforts there. I've been in this industry for 22 years.

I also feel that I should focus on things marketing since I've had successful product management experience three times, and have done much else that is really good marketing, including work in usability and service quality. And, even though much of my recent work has been technology related, it is really all end user centered.

Can you try to think of who I should speak with about identifying appropriate organizations to approach, and what types of positions to pursue?
