I left Citibank in November 1996 after 9 years and 3 jobs to spend more time with my then-3-year-old daughter.
It was the best thing I ever did for myself and my family. After a few months off, I took on part-time consulting assignment. In October 1997 I had the opportunity to work for a cunsulting gfirm part-time and I have been there ever since. I have worked on web and client-server projects using Microsoft technologies for a number of large corporations and medium-sized companies, and became an Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer 2 years ago. I work about 25-30 hours per week now that my daughter is in grade school and continue to enjoy most afternoons with her.
