I worked for Citibank in Switzerland for 28 years.
I started out in HR and then became the executive secretary for the CCO and then went on to become the first female FX trader at Citi in Switzerland in 1981. I worked on the customer desk of both Citibank, N.A. and Citibank (Switzerland) vehicles. I then became the supervisor of 25 staff of the Client Service Center, also managing smaller private bank clients. In 1988 I moved to the training department and headed up the Private Bank's training efforts in EMEA from 1996 until the end of 2004. I trained for the Private Bank primarily in Europe, but also in Asia and New York. During 2004 I taught on four leadership programs for the corporate bank in London.
My final day on the payroll was January 31, 2005 and I created my own training consultancy business (People Development Resources). The website is still under construction. I can help establish a training strategy and set up an appropriate curriculum. I deliver training classes and specialize in management and personal development training, but also give courses in customer service, foreign exchange and fundamentals of derivatives. In addition to this, I act as a training consultant for Richardson and provide sales training. Please keep me in mind if you have any training needs at your new company.
The year out of work provided me with some opportunities to travel, though it was primarily in Europe. I managed to get in a few sailing trips and several long haul motorcycle tours on the back of my Harley Road King.
I live 30 minutes outside of Zurich and ex-Citibankers are always welcome!
