I worked at Citi in Tokyo 1984-1989 and then moved to the San Francisco office. In Tokyo I specialized in cross-border tax incentive financing, known as the Japanese Leverage Lease. In San Francisco I was a senior banker with the World Corporate Group.

In 1994 I left Citi to stay home and raise my two children. During this time I wrote a couple of novels.

The children are now grown.
